What is The ordinary Skincare?

‘Clinical Formulations with Integrity’ - Have you ever seen this phrase before?

It is shown up on every the ordinary skincare product which means that this is a collection of treatment offering clinical technologies to increase the integrity of skincare in an area of pricing and communication.

Have you ever heard of DECIEM? Well, The Ordinary is a branch of brand called DECIEM which produces a skincare without parabens, sulfates, mineral oil, animal oil, and so on. and, plus, the product does not test on animals.

About the product itself?

Ascorbyl Glucoside is a stable form of vitamin C which is more stable in water than any other direct vitamin C (L-Ascorbic Acid) but less powerful. This formulation is produced with ph 6.00-7.00 (Similar to water), alcohol-free, oil-free, silicone-free, and so on. Plus, This serum does not tested on animals.

Ascorbyl Glucoside, or well-known as AA2G, is a vitamin C which is stable in water synthesized by glucose and L-Ascorbic Acid and has ability in antioxidant by building collagen and skin whitening.

Apart from other vitamin C, AA2G has an ability that can absorb into skin as effectively as L-Ascorbic Acid.

Because Ascorbyl Glucoside is properly compatible with water, its ability to achieve the highest quality of L-Ascorbic Acid is quite impossible.

A bit sadly :(

What is actually contained inside it?

Aqua (Water), Ascorbyl Glucoside, Propanediol, Aminomethyl Propanol, Triethanolamine, Isoceteth-20, Xanthan gum, Dimethyl Isosorbide, Ethoxydiglycol, Trisodium Ethylenediamine Disuccinate, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylyl Glycol.

How to use it? Once or Twice a day?

Although this formulation is contained a form of vitamin C derivative, it is claimed to be used both in day time and night time. Amazing!

Applying about 2-3 drops per using and gently tap until it absorbs.

Wearing sunscreen on AM routine is remarkably important to your skin.

(If any irritation occurs, discontinue using and consult to dermatologists.)

Why do I give four stars to this product? Let’s see

• This product does not break me out. I have a sensitive skin and many vitamin C product did that, but not this one (Thanks to ph level)
• Due to its water solubility, the serum texture is similar to water but slightly sticky which leads to the hydration of my skin.
• It gradually helps prevent my hyperpigmentations on my face! (It does help!) and it improve my skin texture (because of the collagen activated from ascorbyl glucoside)
• Every serum product of the ordinary comes with the dropping applicator which is extremely useful to me (I can measure how much the product I want to use in that time)
• The bottles size is as same as all the ordinary serum bottles (Like my previous blog about Lactic acid 5% + HA)
• Again.. Price is reasonable compared to the size and ingredients within.
• It’s and will be my holy grail vitamin C product of all time :)

Am I going to buy it again?

YES! YES! YES! Of course! I am going to buy it.

(ps. I will not recommend to the weak and most sensitive skin.)

(ps2. I will continue use it after my skin is more stronger.)
